"I was very pleased with the quick response from Rika and her extensive knowledge about greens and how to make good tasting juices. She was able to tell me what greens are toxic also; I did not know that carrot greens were toxic! This is really important to a newbie such as myself. I look forward to visiting the site in the future as I juice my way to good health." - Gail S.

Juice Recipes: Is Your Juicer Machine Hiding A Natural Remedy For Arthritis?

Are you wondering about getting the best kinds of food for arthritis? Are you tired of supplements for arthritis that don't seem to work? Have you ever thought about using juice recipes as a natural remedy for arthritis right in your home?

Your juice machine may hold part of the solution to a pain-reducing alternative arthritis remedy. One caveat: If you have any ailment, it is always safer to check with your doctor before taking up juicing.

Now, some folks say that the Nightshade family of plants are among foods to avoid for arthritis. This isn't true in all instances. Some people may have a sensitivity to one or two of these plants, while others will be able to enjoy them without any problem.

It is a case of experimenting and finding out what works for you. This group includes potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and eggplants. Don't automatically assume that you must go without all of these. Every person with arthritis reacts differently to them. Just keep in mind that the externally applied creams made with peppers as an ingredient, can be very helpful if you suffer from joint pain, even if you can't eat peppers.

Which fresh foods can be helpful as a natural remedy for arthritis?

  • Broccoli
  • Celery
  • Parsley
  • Carrots
  • Apples
  • Spinach
  • Ginger
  • Pineapple
  • Lemon
  • Berries
  • Black Cherry
  • Aloe Vera
  • Cucumber
  • Grape
  • Pear

Pineapple juice is rated very high among the foods for arthritis, as it contains a powerful anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain. Ginger also has an anti-inflammatory effect and gives an extra tang to the juice. You would also try to go for options that are alkalizing, which is why lemons and green juices are on the list.

Juice Recipes Introducing Foods For Arthritis:

Pineapple With Punch

2 Apples
1 Pineapple
About 1 inch (2.5cm) fresh ginger (peeled), or according to taste

Method:

Wash and core the apples. You don't need to remove the skin. Run through the juice machine. Wash the pineapple and remove the rind. Then cut out the core and cut the flesh into chunks. Put these through your juice extractor. Lastly juice the ginger.

Fresh Start With A Tangy Twist

2 Carrots
2 Apples
1 Pear
2 Celery Sticks
1 Large Spinach Leaf
2 Parsley Sprigs
Roughly 1 inch (2.5cm) fresh ginger (peeled) for extra bite
Optional: Lemon

Method:

Give the carrots a good scrub and remove the greens. You don't need to peel these. Core the apples and the pear. The skin can be left on. Wash the celery thoroughly. Wash the spinach and roll it into a tight ball for easier juicing. Run the fruits and vegetables through the juicer. If you wish, you can also add a touch of lemon.

When it comes to freshly made fruit and vegetable juice, arthritis pain may well be given a punch it never expected! Perhaps it is time to ask your doctor if you can try juice recipes as a natural remedy for arthritis.

Just remember that the idea isn't that you should stop taking your medication. This is simply another useful tool to add to the mix, with your health practitioner's blessing.
