If you aim to walk five times per week for an hour at a time, you will burn roughly 98,800 calories extra per year. That equals a massive loss of 28 pounds, without dieting! In addition, you will have much more energy and your body will be healthier overall. Now, if you just manage to cut down on your calorie intake a little bit, you will increase the weight loss even more.

Just remember the other major benefit: If you follow this kind of walking program, your metabolism will speed up, so you will burn more calories during the day as well. This can help you to lose more weight without any extra effort. So, even when you sit down after your power walk, your body will be burning fat more efficiently.
